A meaningful place in my daily routine

“I chose the S. Walter Stewart Library because it quickly became a meaningful place in my daily routine when I was working as a nanny. It was welcoming, accessible, and offered a warm environment where the children could explore, learn, and feel a sense of independence. Spending so much time there helped me understand how important this library is to the surrounding community. It isn’t just a building with books, it’s a vibrant hub where families gather, children discover new interests, and neighbors connect through the many programs offered and shared spaces.

People often described the library as friendly, bright, and inviting, especially the children’s section, which always felt lively and full of possibility. The kids I cared for saw it as a place of fun and curiosity, while parents appreciated it as a dependable, supportive resource.

To me, the S. Walter Stewart Library represents comfort, growth, and connection. It holds years of memories, quiet reading sessions, excited discoveries, and moments that brought me closer to the children and the community. “
